Founded on 2 May 1980 by the ashtavadhani scholar Astakala Narasimha Rama Sharma in the Shivaru hills near Siddipet, and reckoned the third major Saraswati temple in India after those at Vaishno Devi and Basar. It is said to be the first to show the goddess standing.
