History & significance

A large Jain temple under construction at Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh since 2006. Its mulnayak is a 24-tonne ashtadhatu image of Rishabhanatha set on a lotus-shaped ashtadhatu pedestal weighing 28 tonnes.
