History & significance
Twin eleventh-century temples inside Gwalior Fort raised by King Mahipala, the larger for his Vaishnava queen and the smaller for her Shaiva daughter-in-law. Both were heavily damaged in later invasions, and only the larger survives with much of its elevation intact.
