A temple at Pulpally in Wayanad established in the eighteenth century by Pazhassi Raja, who long managed it, and one of very few in Kerala where Sita's sons Lava and Kusha receive worship. Its tank is among the largest in Wayanad and the annual festival falls in the first week of January.
It is told that after Rama abandoned her, Sita came to Pulpally and was sheltered by the sage Valmiki, whose ashram is remembered nearby.
