Shamlaji, Aravalli, Gujarat · 23.6879°, 73.3861°
A major Vaishnava pilgrimage centre on the Meshwo river in Aravalli district. The site was already an important religious centre in the sixth century and probably housed a sculpture workshop whose work travelled far across western India; the present temple dates from the 15th-16th centuries.
