Built in 1845 on the order of Queen Bhagali Devi in memory of her husband, the local ruler Shyam Dev Khinchi, with the chieftain Amara Singh Gurjar installed as first head priest. Damaged in the British period and rebuilt in August 1987, it is now a protected site of the Archaeological Survey of India.
A carved panel shows six Arab men at prayer: local lore says visiting Arabs questioned the priest about the sanctity of Mecca and Medina, and he showed them both cities within the temple, whereupon they prayed there.
