A much-visited Ganesha temple at Titwala on an ancient site, renovated under Peshwa Madhavrao I and rebuilt in 1965-66, with further work finished in 2009. Devotees come specifically to seek marriages and to settle marital difficulties.
Sage Kanva is said to have told Shakuntala, estranged from King Dushyanta, to raise a shrine here to Ganesha as Siddhi Vinayaka.
