An Ayyanar temple beside Singamadai lake about 18 km from Sattur, built by the Sevalpatti zamindar roughly five centuries ago; it also houses Pechiyamman and several forms of Karuppasamy, and its Masi-month Shivaratri festival draws people from some thirty villages around.
It is told that a devotee carrying sacred sand from Srivilliputtur during a drought set it down near Nalli when floods threatened the village, and a voice from the sky declared that Ayyanar had saved the land and crops and would bless the people if a temple were raised for him.
