A Buddhist temple in Singapore's Balestier district, founded in 1938 as the Kuan Yin lodge by Chow Siew Keng, who had come from Guangdong two years earlier, and rebuilt in 1964. Under later abbesses it became known for charitable work, running a free clinic from 1980 and distributing rice dumplings to welfare homes from 1984.
