A temple near Kyaukse begun as a single-storey hall under Anawrahta, given a second storey by Narapatisithu, then wholly enclosed in a stupa by Uzana I of Pinya in the 14th century, so that a pagoda hides a pagoda which in turn hides a two-storey temple. Its upper terrace carries stone-carved Jataka reliefs, and it was gazetted as an ancient heritage site in 2015.
