History & significance

A Digambara Jain atishaya kshetra at Tijara in Rajasthan, established in 1956 around a 15-inch white marble mulnayak of Chandraprabha, the eighth Tirthankara, whose inscription records its installation in V.S. 1554 (1497 CE). The temple is decorated with carvings, paintings and glasswork and stands about 110 km from Delhi.
