A Trúc Lâm Zen monastery above Da Lat, designed by the architects Ngô Viết Thụ and Nguyễn Tín and opened in March 1994. Its main hall holds a Gautama Buddha on a lotus between the bodhisattvas Văn Thù Sư Lợi and Phổ Hiền, and the community revives the Vietnamese Zen school founded by the Trần emperor Trần Nhân Tông, who gave up the throne to become a monk.
