A shrine cut into the Sagaing Hills holding 45 seated Buddha images set in a curve against sparkling glasswork. Founded in the 1330s by King Tarabya I of Sagaing and renovated in 1643 and 1723, it was severely damaged by the earthquake of 1838 and rebuilt by King Pagan Min, the work completed in 1847.
