A four-storey rock-cut complex carved from a sandstone hill southwest of Vijayawada in the 4th and 5th centuries, chiefly under the Vishnukundinas. Used in turn as Jain quarters, a Buddhist vihara and a Hindu temple, its second floor holds a five-metre reclining Vishnu, and it is a centrally protected monument of national importance.
