History & significance

Delhi's Guruvayurappan temple, founded on 17 May 1983 by the Arsha Dharma Parishad and completed on the same date in 1989, modelled on the Kerala shrine of the same deity. Built in Kerala style with gopurams to east and west and a two-chambered sanctum, it is a focus of the city's Malayali and Tamil communities.
