A goddess temple at Paloorkavu in Kottayam district whose present structure was completed in 2001. Worship there was long held by tribal custodians under the Vanchipuzha Thamburan, and the Travancore Devaswom Board took over its rights in 1993. Note: the article's coordinate is used here in place of the Wikidata point about 5 km away.
Its legend says the exiled Pandavas gave a Durga image to local tribespeople, whose improper worship turned the goddess into the fierce Bhadra and made the country uninhabitable until she moved to Valliyamkavu.
