Manora, Karachi, Sindh · 24.7976°, 66.9708°
A temple on Manora Island off Karachi, said to be the only shrine dedicated to Varuna in Pakistan and of particular importance to Sindhi Hindus. Its present structure was renovated around 1917-18 and the building was restored again in 2018 by the Sindh Exploration and Adventure Society.
Tradition holds that the temple was commissioned around the 16th century after the wealthy sailor Bhojomal Nenshi Bhatia bought Manora Island from the Khan of Kalat.
