A Vaishnava temple in the Ganapathy quarter of Coimbatore, credited to a Mysore ruler of Yadava descent about a thousand years ago and renovated in 1764. It is now run by the Tamil Nadu HR&CE department, and the surrounding neighbourhood takes its name from the old Kottai Ganapathy shrine that stood before it.
