History & significance

A Shakta pitha near Mir Ghat in Varanasi, rebuilt in 1893 by the Nattukottai Nagarathar merchant community of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most venerated goddess shrines of the city and a focus of devotion for Tamil pilgrims.
