A Theravada monastic site near Mudon in Mon State holding the world's largest free-standing reclining Buddha, 180 m long and 30 m tall. Work on the image began on 29 February 1992 under the founding monk Win Sein Sayadaw, and its hollow interior carries a multi-level museum of chambers depicting scenes from the Buddha's life.
