History & significance

A pagoda in District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City raised between 1956 and 1958 to enshrine a relic of Gautama Buddha, with its bell tower opened in 1961. Its sanctuary carries fourteen painted scenes running from the Buddha's birth as Prince Siddhartha to his attainment of nirvana.
