History & significance

A 12th-century Shiva temple beside the Bisalpur dam on the Banas, commissioned by the Chahamana king Vigraharaja IV, called Bisal Deo, after whom the place is named. It has a sanctum, vestibule and domed square mandapa with pancharatha projections and carved pillars, and is an ASI Monument of National Importance.
