History & significance

A 16th-century Vishnu temple near Tirunelveli raised by the Madurai Nayak ruler Krishnappa Nayak and regarded as a showcase of Nayak sculpture and pillared halls; worship follows the Pancharatra agama in the Thenkalai tradition.
