Built between 1885 and 1889 by Maharaja Nripendra Narayan and opened on 21 March 1890, this is the principal temple of Cooch Behar. Madan Mohan is the kuladevata of the Koch dynasty, worshipped here in two forms, and the temple's Raas Utsav continues a fair over two centuries old.
