The sacred geography of the Indic world — every site mapped, dated, storied, and cited.
Mahilara, Gournadi, Barishal District · 22.9237°, 90.2459°
A brick math at Mahilara in Gournadi raised by the local notable Sarkar Rup Ram Das Gupta under Nawab Alivardi Khan, built for Shiva and painted inside with Radha-Krishna imagery. Its tiered octagonal spire, with cornice mouldings that borrow from European church design, now leans noticeably and is the only tilted temple of its kind in Bangladesh.
