History & significance

An 8th-century monolithic rock-cut Shaiva temple of the Rashtrakuta period in northern Pune, completed around 750 CE. Its three sanctums, probably first meant for Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu, now hold Parvati, the original Shiva linga and Ganesha.
