A 13th-century basalt temple deep in the forest of the Western Ghats, protected as a Monument of National Importance and the only well-preserved example of Kadamba temple architecture surviving in Goa.

Local tradition holds that a large king cobra lives permanently in the dim sanctum beside the linga.
