A coastal Kaliamman temple at T.R. Pattinam whose image is made entirely of wood and kept in wooden caskets. Its name comes from the thousand-item puja performed once every five years in the Tamil month of Vaikasi, which draws pilgrims from across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

A Senguntha Mudaliar devotee is said to have dreamt of a casket on the shore, and found there the next morning a silver box holding the goddess with a palm-leaf instructing that she be worshipped daily with a thousand offerings.
