Brahmagiri, Puri district, Odisha · 19.7949°, 85.6502°
A Vaishnava temple at Brahmagiri, some 23 km from Puri, counted among the 108 Abhimana Kshetras. It is associated with Ramanujacharya's journey through Odisha and preserves a stone slab linked to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's sankirtana.
Devotees say Jagannath directed Chaitanya Mahaprabhu here during Anavasara, the fortnight when the Puri image is withdrawn from view and the lord is believed to appear instead as Alarnath.
