A west-facing Shiva temple at Chemmappilly, about three kilometres from the Thriprayar temple, once owned by a Namboothiri illam and now under the Cochin Devaswom Board. The annual Vavu bali offering to ancestors is performed here.
The Thriprayar Thevar is said never to have passed Aneswaram silently on his village circuit, because this deity had once lent him paddy and coconut.
