A Dharma Sastha temple near Thrissur under the Cochin Devaswom Board, best known for the Arattupuzha Pooram, the oldest of Kerala's pooram festivals. The pooram is styled a Devamela, the yearly gathering of the region's deities.
The deity is believed to carry the vital force of Vasishta, family preceptor of the Raghu line and teacher of Rama, and the temple is said to be three thousand years old.
