History & significance

A Shiva temple at Ammapettai in Papanasam taluk, about 21 km east of Thanjavur, laid out with a prakara, mahamandapa and kosta niches holding several subsidiary shrines. Its most recent consecration, the Kumbhabhishekam, was performed on 15 September 2005.
