A small pidha-deula shrine standing in the middle of a road in old Bhubaneswar, also known as Mukteswara Shiva. Its pancharatha plan places it in the late Kalingan sequence of the 15th–16th century.
It is said that Mahadeva rested at this spot when he visited Ekamra Nagari, and because the shrine sits in the middle of the road he is called Bata Mahadeva, the lord of the way.
