A small basalt cave group of the Satavahana period whose chaitya (Cave 7) encloses a comparatively large stupa and whose vihara (Cave 11) has an unusual apsidal plan with nine cells. The carving is rich in gavaksha motifs and columns with animal capitals, and an inscription records the gift of Pushyanka, son of Ananda Sethi of Nashik; regular whitewashing and painting ordered for British visitors until about 1861 destroyed the original plaster and murals.
