An apsidal shrine at Ter in Dharashiv district regarded as the oldest standing structure in Maharashtra, built in Satavahana times to an early Buddhist caityagriha design and given a flat-roofed mandapa from about the 6th century when it passed into Hindu worship. Henry Cousens read the original building as Buddhist, a view M. S. Mate disputed in 1957.
