Aharapada, Bhadrak district, Odisha · 21.0153°, 86.5367°
A Shakti temple at Aharapada, some 8 km southwest of Bhadrak town, whose black granite goddess is seated in lotus posture on a lion.
Tradition holds that the image was first worshipped by the sage Tapasa Rushi in a cave on Meghasana hill in Mayurbhanj, and was carried to Aharapada by his disciples to keep it safe from Kalapahad.
