A Shakta shrine at Kolibari near Tezpur overlooking the Brahmaputra and the Kolia Bhomora bridge, where Bhairavi is venerated as one of the Mahavidyas. Its stone carvings have been dated to the 9th century, and the structure has suffered earthquake damage.
Local tradition holds that Usha, daughter of the asura king Banasura, came regularly to this spot to worship the goddess.
