History & significance

A goddess temple near Tirur whose square sanctum holds a granite image of the Mother Goddess along with subsidiary deities. It is best known for the Thalappoli observance in the Malayalam month of Kumbam, with Kalamezhuthu floor drawings and Poothan and Thira folk performances.
