History & significance

A goddess temple on the bank of the Gomti at Bakshi Ka Talab in Lucknow district, holding nine images of Durga. It fills with pilgrims at Navratri and on new-moon nights.

Sthala katha — the legend

The goddess is said to have shown herself in the hollow of an old neem tree at the site.
