History & significance

A Thrissur city temple counted among the 108 Durga shrines of Kerala and a participant in the Thrissur Pooram, administered by the Cochin Devaswom Board. Its goddess is reckoned the younger sister of the Bhagavathi at Ayyanthole, and her processions to Vadakkumnathan are timed before the sun grows strong.
