A sunken temple on 2nd Temple Street in Malleswaram, built as a pillared corridor around a stepped tank, in which water runs constantly from the mouth of an unusual south-facing Nandi onto the lingam below. Buried for centuries, it was uncovered in 1997 when residents opposed building work on the plot and the ground was excavated.
The spring feeding the tank is held to be the sacred source of the river Vrishabhavati.
