Zambaulim, Quepem taluka, Goa · 15.1866°, 74.0948°
The temple of Damodar, a form of Shiva held by the Gowda Saraswat Brahmin community, whose deity originally stood at Mathagam in old Margao where the Holy Spirit Church now is. The mahajans moved it to Zambaulim around 1565 ahead of the Portuguese temple demolitions in Salcete, the Desais of Rivona granting land and a continuing vatan for its upkeep; subsidiary deities include Chamundeshwari, Mahakali and Mahesha.
