History & significance

An early-medieval Shiva temple at Saripalli in Vizianagaram district, protected by the Archaeological Survey of India as a monument of national importance. Its square sanctum and tiered curvilinear shikhara follow the Kalinga rekha deul type, evidence of building contact between coastal Andhra and Odisha.
