History & significance

A set of neighbourhood shrines to Draupati Amman spread across Kumbakonam, on the streets flanking the Chakrapani and Sarangapani temples and near the bus stand. Several also hold shrines to Vinayaka, Kali and Mariamman and sculpted heads of Aravan; their recorded consecrations fall between 2001 and 2016.
