A Durga temple in the coastal town of Guhagar, Ratnagiri district, laid out on the panchayatana plan with four corner shrines around the central sanctum, and set beside a tank with a wooden pillar at its centre.
The goddess is said to have destroyed the forces menacing Guhagar and slain the demon Mahishasura, and is worshipped here as Mahishasuramardini.
