A Sastha temple at Elamgulam in Kottayam district whose written history begins with its management by the Edappally royal family; control passed from the Nair Service Society to a wider committee in 1978. A major rebuilding in stone, wood and copper was completed in January 2023, and its annual Gajamela brings out some fifteen elephants.
