History & significance

A Devi shrine on a rock rising about sixty feet out of the Kosi river on the edge of Corbett National Park, north of Ramnagar. It holds a ninth-century black granite Lakshmi-Narayana image and draws thousands of pilgrims at Kartik Purnima.
