A shrine of the goddess Kali on the bank of the Damodar near Asansol in Paschim Bardhaman district, West Bengal. It is one of the most visited local pilgrimage spots of the Asansol industrial belt.
Local tradition tells of a wedding party trapped by a flooded rivulet who prayed to the goddess and crossed safely, but the king forgot his vow of a sacrifice and the party was cursed to remain beneath the water.
