History & significance

A Shiva temple, known locally simply as the Shiva Temple, in the Indus-side town of Manjhand, founded by Gobindram and built of burnt brick bound with gypsum cheeroli paste. Until Partition it drew annual fairs of Hindu pilgrims from across Sindh, with a dharamshala alongside and performances by the Sindhi devotional singer Bhagat Kanwar Ram.
