A Delhi gurdwara on Mata Sundri Road raised in memory of Mata Sundri, who married Guru Gobind Singh in 1684 and bore his eldest son Ajit Singh in 1687. After the Guru's death in October 1708 she guided the Khalsa for forty years, issuing hukumnamas between 1717 and 1730 until her death in 1747; she lived in a newly built house on this site from 1727, and the Delhi Gurdwara Committee later put up the present shrine.
